The short version

Gary's Terrible Launch is a game made for children. It has no advertising, player accounts, chat or developer-operated gameplay analytics. Progress stays on your device. Apple and Google handle store services. On Android, Google's billing software also sends technical billing diagnostics to Google; those communications can occur without making a new purchase.

1. What this policy covers

This policy covers Gary's Terrible Launch on iOS and Android, and its private test versions. Blewett Product Systems LLC publishes the game. Our other apps have separate policies.

2. What the game keeps on your device

  • Progress, settings, purchase-delivery history and the version and date of the accepted parent agreement are saved in the game's storage.
  • Purchase records help prevent duplicate delivery and recover unfinished transactions. Pending native transaction information is kept locally until delivery can be completed. We do not send receipts to a developer-operated purchase-verification server.
  • We do not operate a cloud-save server or receive your gameplay saves. Removing the game, clearing its storage, resetting or losing the device can remove progress. Device or store backups have their own rules.
  • Non-consumable Tours can be restored through the same store account. Consumed Medal packs and a deleted local Medal balance cannot be reconstructed by our game server, because there is no such server.

3. Store services and information sent off the device

  • Apple and Google store services. The game uses Apple's StoreKit on iOS and Google Play Billing on Android to obtain product information, process purchases and recover or restore eligible transactions. The stores process payment and account information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not receive payment-card details.
  • Automatic store checks. After a parent accepts the game agreement and the game is ready, the native app can contact the store for product information and unfinished purchases. Store checks can also occur when the app resumes. A new purchase is not required for these checks.
  • Android billing diagnostics. Google's billing software uses Google's data transport to send technical billing diagnostics to Google. Its diagnostic code includes billing-library and app versions, billing responses and timing, randomly generated billing-instance or purchase-flow identifiers, device model and OS/build information, language and country settings, network type and mobile-network operator codes. This is separate from developer-operated gameplay analytics. Receiving services also receive network connection information such as an IP address.
  • Software providers. The native game includes third-party software for the app shell, store services, optional local reminders and the official store-rating request. It does not include an advertising SDK or a developer-operated analytics or receipt service.
  • External links. A grown-up can open support, privacy and store-information links after the game's parental check. They open in the device's browser or email app. Those services handle their own connections and information.

4. Private test versions

  • The password-protected web beta has a private feedback form. If a tester sends feedback, it sends the text (up to 300 characters), three scores from 1 to 5, launch count, level, game version, time and a random device-created code to our feedback service. Avoid entering names or other personal information in the feedback text.
  • The random code distinguishes feedback from the same installation and limits it to five submissions per hour. Unsent feedback waits locally until a connection is available.
  • Cloudflare hosts the web beta and its feedback storage. Like other website hosts, it receives network connection information such as an IP address. We do not store an IP address with the feedback entry.
  • The password page saves a cookie on the test site so it can remember access for up to a year. The web beta checks about once a minute for an available update.
  • The native store build has no private beta feedback form. An optional official store-rating request is handled by Apple or Google. The five-flight 200-Medal gift is given for playing, regardless of any rating or feedback.

5. What the game does not ask for or use

  • No advertising, advertising SDK, player account, sign-in, chat, messaging or user-created content.
  • No request for a player's name, email, phone number, birthday or postal address.
  • No use of the device's location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or Bluetooth.
  • No sale of player information by Blewett Product Systems LLC.

6. Children and parental controls

The game is directed to children. A parent or guardian accepts the agreement before play and decides whether purchases and optional reminders are appropriate. The game's parental check is separate from Apple's and Google's store-level parental controls. We recommend Ask to Buy and Screen Time on Apple devices, and purchase approvals and Family Link on Android.

The technical store communications described above are part of the native app. They are not limited to pressing a purchase button. If we introduce new collection of information from children, we will update this notice and obtain parental consent where required before introducing that collection.

7. Retention and deletion

  • Local game data: kept until removed from the device, subject to any platform backup. Deleting it can permanently remove progress and consumed Medal balances.
  • Web-beta feedback: removed automatically 12 months after receipt. Rate-limit markers expire after one hour.
  • Store transactions and technical store diagnostics: handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. Clearing the game's local data does not delete information held by those providers.
  • Support messages: if you email us, your email provider and ours process the message. Send only the information needed to explain the problem. Do not send passwords, payment details or unrelated private records.

8. Security

Store and billing-diagnostic network services use encrypted connections. Web-beta feedback travels over an encrypted connection to the existing password-protected feedback service. Local saves are stored by the app on the device.

9. Questions and requests

Email support@blewettproductsystems.com or write to the publisher address above. To remove local progress, remove the game or clear its app data. To request removal of web-beta feedback, describe roughly when it was sent and what it said. Apple and Google handle requests about information they hold through their own account and privacy channels.

10. Updates and the in-game notice

We update the date at the top when this policy changes. Material changes to the in-game agreement are shown to a parent before play continues. Section 9 of that agreement summarizes this policy.
