Start a project
Start with the business. I will help with the technology.
Describe the business, what customers need to do, and what you want to make easier. Submit a project request for my review; a separate estimate is not required.
Start a projectTell me what the business needs.
A website, a repeated task you want easier, a useful application, a product idea, or systems that need to work together are all valid starting points. Explain what you know. Other and I’m not sure are welcome answers; I will review the technical choices with you.
A useful brief starts with what you know.
Tell me what your business does, who the site is for, and what you want visitors to do. Include an existing website, examples you like, and tools you already use when you have them. You can explain the rest in ordinary language.
Estimate project cost and see what happens after you send the brief. Detailed materials come later in the project workspace.
Bring the facts you know.
A short description of your business, customers and goals is enough to begin. Detailed materials come later in your invited project workspace.
You provide or approve the facts about your business and the wording you want to keep. Within the agreed content scope, you choose whether I lightly edit your text, use it exactly as supplied, or draft missing copy from your facts for your review. You approve the final facts and wording before launch.
Additional copywriting, research or pages beyond the agreed content scope are reviewed and quoted separately. Policy drafting is included only when specifically agreed.
Your project schedule is agreed during scope review. Timing depends on project complexity and the availability of required content, assets, access and customer approvals.
